For over 30 years, John has been recognized as a leading financial educator in the Springfield / Enfield area. He has developed a specialty in working with retirees and those about to retire who want to protect their principal, ensuring a worry free retirement knowing their money will last. Estate Planning is also one of John’s strengths. He has shown hundreds of retirees how to build a bridge to safely guide their assets to their loved ones, avoiding Probate Court, Nursing Home spend downs and unnecessary taxes.
John has been a series speaker for many area organizations including, the Springfield Department of Elder Affairs and the Enfield Senior Center. He has been a Guest on the television show “Spotlight on Seniors” and has hosted his own radio show “Hind Sight’s 20 20″. John publishes a quarterly newsletter entitled “Senior Finances” and is the author of several articles on estate planning.
John grew up in West Springfield, MA. He received his education attending Holyoke Community College and Boston University. In 1982, John joined Retirement Planning Associates, a retirement service and estate preservation firm, to focus on the needs of retirees and those seriously planning for retirement.
In 2006, John founded Wealth Preservation Group, Inc, and moved his office to Enfield, CT. The move enabled John to better serve his clients and the new name is a better representation of the mission of the firm. In 2014, Wealth Preservation Group, Inc. opened a satellite office in West Springfield, MA. Later that same year, John published his first book, “Retirement Income are You on the Right Path?” which is often passed from his clients to their kids as it is John’s belief Retirement Planning is a lifelong commitment.
John lives with his wife, Mary, and their two children in Southwick, MA.
Mary A. Dee is a Founding Principle at Wealth Preservation Group, Inc. She has been working with John for more than 10 years helping their clients to achieve the financial goals and objectives which are most important to them and their families. Mary is the Operations Manager and is responsible for a full range of daily activities that keeps a busy office running smoothly.
Mary earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Saint Anselm College and her Masters Degree in Accounting from Western New England University. She holds her life and health insurance licenses in both Connecticut and Massachusetts.
She is a lifelong resident of Western MA growing up in Chicopee and living in Longmeadow for 23 years. She currently lives with her husband John in Southwick MA. She has two college age kids, Jess attends Clarkson University in NY and Jack attends Plymouth State University in NH. She lives in Southwick MA with her husband John, her kids and Taz, their Bernise Mountain Dog. Taz is the mascot for Wealth Preservation Group, Inc and is often in the office greeting clients.
Cyndi Stewart joined Wealth Preservation Group in 2012. She is a Retirement Planning Specialist, with a focus on Income Planning and Social Security strategies for pre-retirees and retirees.
Cyndi has over 25 years of financial services experience in the Banking and Insurance industries. Before Wealth Preservation Group, she worked for 9 years at MassMutual Financial Group as a Training Consultant in their Life and Agent Field Training divisions. Prior to that, she managed an ATM and Credit Card account portfolio for Service Credit Union, a mid-sized military financial institution with branches in the United States and Germany.
Cyndi is originally from Philadelphia and attended PennState University. For the past 17 years she has lived with her husband and son in Longmeadow, Massachusetts.
Abbe W. McLane is an attorney licensed in Massachusetts, Connecticut and North Carolina. She has a general practice which handles most legal matters, including real estate, elder issues, wills and probate, estate planning, and family.

He earned the Masters of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of St. Thomas where he graduated with distinction. In addition, he attended Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota for the Masters of Business Taxation. Nick also holds his series 27, 7 and 66, as well as his life and health license. In addition, Stovall recently just published his first book: “Retirement Income an Owner’s Manual.” Stovall remains active in the accounting industry and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants (MnCPA) and the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). He is a member of Ed Slott’s Elite IRA Advisor Group.
